GM recalls four models because of vehicle fire hazard

On August 13, 2007, General Motors Corp. recalled four models of cars because of a manufacturing defect that could lead to a vehicle fire. The fuel tank inlet check valve on certain cars could fracture, which could allow fuel and fuel vapors to leak.
The following GM models and years are involved in the recall:
- 2002-04 Buick Rendezvous
- 2002-04 Chevrolet Venture
- 2001-04 Pontiac Aztek
- 2001-04 Pontiac Montana
GM dealers will replace the fuel tank in recalled GM cars. Owners are advised to contact Buick at 1-866-608-8080, Chevrolet at 1-800-630-2438, or **Pontiac at 1-800-620-7668.
