Rimmer® Cocktail garnish recalled because of possible Salmonella contamination

Parsley powder ingredient in recalled garnish tested positive

On August 30, 2007, Stirrings LLC announced a recall of about 5,000 cases of its Rimmer® Brand Mojito Cocktail Garnish after parsley powder in the garnish tested positive for Salmonella.

The UPC Code on the recalled garnish is 80999 00046, with the following “best by” codes:

  • 10/27/08
  • 10/30/08
  • 11/23/08
  • 12/01/08
  • 12/04/08
  • 01/03/09

Best by dates are printed on the tins.

Customers with recalled products are advised to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with additional questions may contact Stirrings at 1-866-648-8239.
