Lan Enterprises Recalls Mini Zooper Doll Strollers Due to Laceration, Entrapment, and Amputation Hazard

Pottery Barn Kids received three reports of serious injuries

On September 28, 2007, the United States Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall on approximately 21,000 Mini Zooper Doll Strollers due to laceration, entrapment, and amputation hazards.

The seller of the doll strollers, Pottery Barn Kids, received three reports of serious lacerations that included one partial finger amputation on a 2-year-old boy. The recalled doll strollers can cause a child’s finger to be caught in the rectangular metal clip or the black plastic side hinge. This can result in serious laceration or finger tip amputation.

The recalled doll strollers can also create an entrapment hazard for children.

Affected models were sold in Pottery Barn Kids retail stores nationwide, through their catalog, and on-line between October 2005 and June 2007 for about $50. The Mini Zooper Doll Stroller has a silver metal frame with a bright pink cotton canvas seat cover with “Pottery Barn Kids” printed on the label of the canvas seat cover.

CPSC advises consumers to stop use of the recalled doll strollers immediately. Consumers can contact Pottery Barn Kids at 1-888-367-0144 between 7am and 12am ET or visit pbk.zooper.us for instructions on receiving a repair kit.
