On December 5, 2007, Stokke announced a recall of Xplory baby strollers due to a fall hazard.
The recalled Xplory baby strollers have gray handles and serial numbers between 1 and 28,097. The serial numbers are located under the foot plate. The Xplory baby strollers were sold on websites and through juvenile product retailers nationwide from September 2003 and December 2006 for around $770.
The Kennesaw, Georgia manufacturer, Stokke, is recalling more than 2,000 Xplory baby strollers after receiving 14 reports within the U.S. of the front wheels detaching from the stroller due to a loose bolt. One report involved a child receiving a scratch when she tumbled out of the stroller. In addition, Stokke received 244 reports outside the U.S. of the front wheels detaching from the stroller.
Consumers who purchased recalled strollers should immediately stop using the strollers and contact Stokke to receive a free replacement of the front wheels.
