Big Foot hunting tree stands are hang-on stands with a warning label reading, “Rivers Edge Hunting Products”.** Marketed by Ardisam Inc., the stands are used when hunters use the method of waiting for animals from an elevated position.

In 2000, Ardisam received reports of the Big Foot series hunting tree stands causing fall hazards. The company recalled the product in 2004.

In July 2007, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission sued Ardisam for failing to report the defect in a timely manner.
