In April 2008, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall for Gamewell-FCI 7100 Series Fire Alarm Control Panels due to a potential fire hazard. The sounder on the recalled fire alarms failed to alert the consumer when a malfunction occurred in the system.
