RotaTeq

RotaTeq is an oral, liquid vaccine that was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on February 3, 2006, for the prevention of rotavirus gastroenteritis. Rotavirus is a common cause of vomiting and diarrhea in infants and small children and often leads to dehydration.

On February 13, 2007, the FDA notified the public of 28 cases of infant intussusception linked to RotaTeq.
