Calypso Sandals were sold at Nordstrom’s department stores and on the company’s Web site during February 2007 for approximately $27. In June of the same year, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled some 1,800 pairs of the sandals because the jewels easily popped off, posing a choking hazard to young children.
