abnormalities in the mother - miscarriages during the fourth through sixth months of pregnancy are usually related to an abnormalities in the mother, some of which include chronic illnesses, acute infections, and other factors like drugs, alcohol and tobacco.
Symptoms

- abdominal pain
- cramping

- avoiding alcohol, nicotine, and street drugs, especially cocaine, during pregnancy,
- avoiding or cutting down on caffeine,
- controlling high blood pressure and diabetes, and
- Identifying and treating any bacterial and certain viral infections.
