Ortho-Cept is a third-generation oral contraceptive used for birth control. Third-generation oral contraceptives contain a form of progrestin known as desogestrel.

Ortho-Cept is taken on a dosing regimen of 21 active orange tablets followed by 7 inactive white tablets.
