On May 29, 2008, Provo Craft & Novelty Inc. recalled about 730,000 Candlsense Warmers after receiving 11 reports of hazardous incidents, including two reports of fires and nine reports of property scorching. The internal heating element on the recalled candle warmer can detach, melting the bottom of its plastic casing, which poses a fire hazard to consumers.
