On December 13, 2007, Toyota Motor North America recalled 2006 Lexus GS models because high stress areas and certain chemicals in fuel may cause a crack in two fuel pipes in the engine compartment. A crack can lead to fuel leakage from the lines and, in the presence of an ignition source, could cause a fire.
