Bifeprunox
Bifeprunox
Bifeprunox is a proposed atypical antipsychotic drug co-developed by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Solvay Pharmaceuticals.
On August 10, 2007, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) told Wyeth and Solvay Pharmaceuticals it would not approve bifeprunox; instead, the FDA asked the two pharmaceutical companies for further studies on the drug. According to Wyeth, the FDA wants more data comparing bifeprunox’s efficacy to similar drugs currently on the market.
