On June 3, 2008, Far East Brokers and Consultants Inc. recalled about 750 Log Swings because a missing nail can cause the seat back to separate from the seat, posing a fall hazard. The company has received six reports of the chair separating, including three injuries.
Wooden log swings that seat two people and hang from a log frame are involved in the recall. The swings measure 71 inches high by 62 inches wide.
Grand Union Family Market, Ingle’s Markets, VG’s Food Center, Plumb’s Valu-Rite Foods and Central Shoprite stores nationwide sold the recalled Far East Brokers Log Swings from February 2008 through May 2008 for about $150.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled log swings, disassemble them and return it to the place of purchase for a refund. For more information, customers may contact Far East Brokers and Consultants at 877-695-8354, or they may visit the company’s website.
